Bar Turning

One of the techniques used to produce a round bright bar is turning.

This technique facilitates the production of small volumes of any bar size, standard or non-standard. This is not to be taken as a negative comment relating to the production of larger volumes of bar using this technique.

The technique is based on the removal, by turning, of the surface of the bar. A benefit of the technique is that surface defects are removed and in theory a bar free from surface defects is produced.
